“Thought Through Time” is a piece written in the form of a variation: a theme, three variations, and a coda. The theme represents a single expressed thought, which in its subsequent presentation appears in the first variation, slightly altered. As it travels through time, this altered thought, in its next appearance, is further developed and modified. This serves as an analogy to our everyday life, where an idea or thought, traveling from person to person, is enriched and beautified, changing its original form.
